Indiana State University's Department of Music is proud to announce the 44th Annual Contemporary Music Festival featuring the music of composer Gabriela Lena Frank, the artistry of pianist Michael Kirkendoll, and the festival's resident orchestra, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. The festival theme is Músique del Sol (Music of the Sun) and will take place from Wednesday, October 27, through Friday, October 29, 2010, concluding with a performance by the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. As a festival theme, Músique del Sol not only reflects a regional connotation, that of Central and South America, but also the character and soul of the people that live there. Please join us for this year's festival which will explore the beauty of music from this region as well as a variety of music from other cultures.
