Indiana State University celebrated the 93rd anniversary of the department of Family and Consumer Sciences during the 82nd Annual Founders Day ceremonies on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 in the Heritage Lounge of Tirey Hall.

In addition to the traditional book and touch ceremony, former home economics chairperson and professor Anne Lee was honored during the celebration. Lee served ISU for 45 years, serving as department chairperson for almost four decades. Two of the department's many successful alumnae -- Marjorie Ashby, a 1946 graduate, and Alyson L. McIntyre-Reiger, who earned her bachelor's degree in 2004 and a master's degree in 2006 -- are also scheduled to speak.
